My Mother Pearls Sally Huss 9780692600917 Books Reviews
The pearls on her mother's necklace have symbolism to the daughter left behind by her military mother. When she puts on her mom's necklace she is reminded of the care, love & respect she herself possesses and in doing so is greatly comforted.
Another tug at your heart strings happy book by Sally Huss. I'm totally gobsmacked by Sally's ability to tell such a delightful story, AND convey in such a positive way the importance of kindness and love, both to our families and others with whom we interact, AND have such joy filled illustrations on every single page!
Touching, sweet, meaningful — this little book will help the little ones who need some support as their parents leave for military duties. All in rhyme and adorably illustrated, I’m sure this book will help many and be treasured for a long time to come.
We love this book. It is so sensitive and sweet in dealing with the difficult situation of military separation for a child. The illustrations are charming and explain the story visually in a lovely way. It offers a way to lift the loneliness that a child may feel when a parent is deployed, and opens the door for discussion on this topic. Excellent book!
What a wonderful story! I love this story because it helps little ones left behind understand that although mother is physically absent she is still with them through a heart to heart connection and it will always be this way. This story has such a personal, tender sentiment that children can relate. It has it all. A child can imagine they are holding the miracle pearls in their hands feeling a physical connection to their mother that touches their heart. Then hearing how proud their mother is of them I think would make them want to do their best. It is a terrific idea for mothers in the military to give this book to their children plus give them something meaningful and personal to hold on to while she is away. Any time a child hears they are loved is a good time and I think this book gives them the strength to get through the difficult parting. This story touched me on so many levels. Bravo Sally, you hit this one out of the ballpark!

What a great story for youngsters from 2- 8 & + who miss one or more of their loved ones. So, I recommend this ebook highly for these kids and this is why I felt that it needs five stars. Beautifully illustrated as well. I received this for free and in return for being able to read and view how this author had these pictures done so well, here is my honest review. Great job Sally!
